Educational Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field preferred.
- Valid Kansas drivers’ license.
Experience:
- Experience supervising students.

Functions and Responsibilities:
Universal USD 250 Standards:
- Support the philosophy and mission of USD 250 and the value of education.
- Comply with the privacy rights of students.
- Safeguard confidential and/or sensitive information.
- Communicate pleasantly and effectively with all the members of the school district and community.
- Provide excellence in customer service both internally and externally.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to insure a safe and efficient working environment.
- Ensure that all activities conform to district, state, and federal guidelines.
- React to change positively and productively.
- Keep abreast of new information, innovative ideas and techniques.
- Adhere to all district health and safety policies, including all precautions of the Bloodborne Pathogens Exposure Control Plan.
Specific Functions and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and supervise club meetings and activities.
- Assist students in achieving knowledge in the club’s area of interest.
- Ensure that forms and permission slips are properly completed for the club members and filed in the Athletic/Activity Director’s office.
- Work with parents, booster clubs and other community organizations as needed.
- Ensure that students adhere to lettering policies, grade requirements and rules of behavior.
- Ensure the continual supervision of students during club meetings, events and on the bus for field trips.
- Supervise one or more concession stands for fundraising opportunities, as required.
- Submit a complete club roster to the Athletic/Activity Director by October 1st each school year and update the roster at the end of the school year to verify which students completed the year in good standing.
- Submit a written report of the club’s activities to the Athletic/Activity Director at the end of each school year.
- Keep a current club constitution on file with the Athletic/Activity Director.
- Submit names of the elected officers to the Athletic/Activity Director as soon as the election is held.
- Submit the club meeting schedule to the Athletic/Activity Director in September each school year.
- Submit fundraising requests to the Athletic/Activity Director.
- Report the results of club news to area newspapers.
- Notify the Public Information Director with announcements to be placed on the district website.
- Ensure that health and safety precautions are observed during all activities.
- Ensure proper purchasing, inventory and care of equipment.
- Submit to the Athletic/Activity Director the needs for the next season.
- Present a letter of recognition to all students who meet the necessary requirements.
- Obtains advance approval from the Athletic/Activity Director and Building Principal for all activities and expenditures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Building Principal or Athletic/Activity Director.
Physical Requirements/Environmental Conditions:
- Requires prolonged sitting or standing.
- Requires physical exertion to manually move, lift, carry, pull or push heavy objects or materials.
- Requires stooping, bending and reaching.
- Requires some travel that may or may not require driving.
- Must work indoors and outdoors year-round.
- Must work in noisy and crowded environments.
